Create or Sign In to Your Account

You'll need a Kootenay Connection account to redeem your gift certificate. If you don't have one yet:

  • Download the app or visit the web app
  • Create a free account with your email
  • Sign in to your account

Navigate to Redemption Page

Once signed in, you can access the redemption page in two ways:

Via Settings

Settings → Gift Certificates → Redeem Gift Code

Direct Link

Enter Your Gift Code

Locate the 6-character gift code from your certificate:

  • Check your email for the gift certificate
  • Look for the redemption code (e.g., ABC123)
  • Enter the code in the redemption form

Example Code:

ABC123

Codes are not case-sensitive

Validate Your Code

Click "Validate Code" to verify your gift certificate. The system will show you:

  • VIP Pass confirmation
  • Expiration date
  • Any personal message included

Complete Redemption

Click "Redeem Now" to activate your VIP Pass. Once redeemed:

  • Your account will be upgraded to VIP immediately
  • All offers become available to you, including VIP-only offers
  • You can start redeeming at participating businesses
  • Your VIP Pass is valid for 1 full year

⚠️ Important Notes

  • One-Time Use: Each gift code can only be redeemed once
  • Account Required: You must be signed in to redeem
  • Expiration: Gift certificates expire 1 year from purchase
  • Non-Transferable: Once redeemed, the pass is tied to your account
  • VIP Pass: Valid for 1 year from redemption

Using Your Pass at Businesses

Once your gift certificate is redeemed, here's how to use your active pass:

Open the app and explore available offers from participating businesses

Visit Business

Head to the business and let them know you're using Kootenay Connection

Get Business Code

Ask the business for their unique 4-digit redemption code

4️⃣

Redeem & Show Confirmation

Enter the code in your app to claim the offer. Once successful, show the green checkmark confirmation screen to the business to enjoy your savings!

Common Questions

What if my gift code doesn't work?

Double-check that you've entered the code correctly (not case-sensitive). If it still doesn't work, the code may have already been redeemed or expired. Contact support for assistance.

Can I redeem a gift certificate without creating an account?

No, you must have a Kootenay Connection account to redeem and use your gift certificate. Creating an account is free and takes just a minute.

How long is my VIP Pass valid after redemption?

Your VIP Pass is valid for 1 full year from the date you redeem the gift certificate.
